Dr. J. M. Patel Oration

This award is intended to recognize outstanding contribution by the member of ISOT in the field of Organ Transplantation that significantly advances the field of organ transplantation in India. Any member can apply for this Award. The application along with six copies of CV, topic of Oration and the original work of the member done in India in relation to the topic of the Oration should reach the Secretariat before 31st July.

The candidate if selected for the award has to submit the original article of the work for which award is given to Indian Journal of Transplantation.

ISOT Education Grant

Applicant should be a member or has to apply for ISOT membership to be eligible for this award. Trainee has to be post MD or post MS (Medicine, Surgery or Pathology or Basic science relevant to transplantation). Head of the Department of their Institute should certify that he/she is interested to work in Transplantation and will be given necessary leave if selected for the grant. The fellow selected will spend minimum 2weeks at the selected centre. He will have to submit his report to the Secretary of ISOT. The last date for application submission 31st July.
Award: The award will be Rs. 40,000/- (at the next conference)

Tankers Young Investigator Award

TANKER’S Young Investigator Award

  • Rs 50,000 with citation will be given to the most outstanding young researcher (Age less than 45 years) from India
  • The awardee will be chosen from among any researcher below 45 years of age who has made an outstanding contribution towards understanding Transplantation Science of relevance to India
  • Work submitted for award should be unpublished
  • Applicant has to be ISOT Member
Isot Mentor Mentee Awards

ISOT Mentor Mentee Award

  • ISOT recognizes the contributions of its members with ISOT Mentee-Mentor Awards which is given to scientists who have made significant contribution in understanding of transplantation science
  • It will foster the development of the young investigators who will shape the future of transplantation in India
  • APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Evidence of Abstract Submission to ISOT Annual Congress
  • Letter from Department Chair confirming the training status of the Mentee
  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Mentee must be currently enrolled as a graduate student or receiving training as a post-doctoral fellow within 2 years full time equivalent of receiving his/her PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree, at the time of application. Mentee must be the first author and presenterof a submitted abstract (either oral or poster) at the ISOT Annual Congress.
  • Mentor must be an nationally recognized faculty ISOT member with a strong record of past achievements in the field of transplantation. The mentor must be the senior author of the same accepted abstract (either oral or poster) at the ISOT Annual Congress.
  • Mentee and Mentor must be active members of ISOT
  • Please note that both Mentee and Mentor MUST ATTEND IN-PERSON the ISOT Annual Conference
  • Applicants not present in personat the ISOT Annual Conference  will be disqualified and will not receive the award.
  • Mentee should be less than 40 years of age
  • ISOT Membership is compulsory
  • Each year, 5 awards will be given
  • Each Award will Carry Rs. 75000 (25,000 for Mentor &  50,000 for Mentee)
